Working Student Sustainability Reporting (f/m/d)

Immediately | Longterm 20h per week | Located in Mainz

We are looking for a Bachelor or Master student in environmental science, environmental engineering, sustainability studies, or similar fields for conducting research in the above-referenced topic. You will have the opportunity to participate in an industry environment with a team of expert and to learn various aspects of sustainability reporting with a focus in the waste management sector.

Your responsibilities

• Reviewing requirements and standards for corporate sustainability strategies
• Evaluating methodologies and practices of sustainability reporting
• Supporting stakeholder engagement activities including interviews, surveys, and workshops
• Collaborating with internal teams and external service providers to develop reporting strategies
• Providing other relevant support in relation to sustainability strategy and reporting tasks

Your qualifications

• Self-motivated, curious, and passion for sustainability
• Basic knowledge of corporate sustainability reporting processes, standards, and frameworks
• Understanding of sustainability assessment tools including carbon footprint, materiality analysis, lifecycle assessment, etc. (desired)
• Knowledge of the waste management value chain, extended producer responsibility and recycling & waste management practices (desired)
• Proficiency in English (and preferably in German) with strong oral and written communications skills
