EMEA Environmental Compliance Manager

Immediately | Fulltime | Location: Hybrid Model (candidate should be based in Lisbon)

As an Environmental Compliance Manager, you will lead and support the development and delivery of a wide range of regulatory Extended Producer Responsibility programs focussing on WEEE, Batteries, and Packaging.

The position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced regulatory professional. The ideal candidate will excel at interacting with multi-national clients and will work in a growing team on several different projects at a time.

The company has an ethos of trust, accountability, and absolute discretion derived from senior experience within blue-chip organizations. The candidate will provide environmental regulatory consultancy advice across our clients’ portfolio of products.

Your responsibilities

• Delivery of European and Global external compliance and consultancy service to international producers.
• Transforming requests from producers into service delivery quotations.
• Assessing customer Extended Producer Obligations.
• Account management of a few customers, in multiple locations across the globe.
• Delivery of the Portuguese authorized Representative service for WEEE, Batteries, Packaging, and any other waste streams that may be in scope under Extended Producer Obligations.
• Managing member registrations and consolidating communications.
• Managing member data reporting and delivery.
• Setting up and controlling invoicing flow for the delivered services.
• Keeping on top of regulatory and market changes to update internal networks and tools.
• Development and expansion of current service offerings.

Your qualifications

• Educated to degree level
• 1-3 years within an environmental regulatory role
• English and Portuguese Proficiency, any additional languages are desirable
• Experience with project management
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of WEEE, Batteries, and Packaging Regulations in EMEA
• Experience in global WEEE, Batteries, and Packaging Regulations is an advantage.
• Strong computer literacy, at least Intermediate excel skills
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
• Self-motivated and able to work within a team environment
